So, what I've been thinking..
And looking at lately is more subtle and refined than I've been into before. To say how much my final thesis has effected this and how much I chose the subject for my thesis because I've been looking elsewhere is impossible. And also totally irrelevant.
Ok, this is me. This is what I have to work with at the moment. I guess things could be worse.
1. Details. I do have a quite good collection of nice, good quality, basic clothes that will still be up to date and appropriate for use. I mean how wrong can you go with a black, fitted jacket? So, I am pleased that I've been so smart in the not-too-distant-past that I actually got myself nice, classic items. I mean I do love a perfect cut, I do love simplicity and minimalism (to a certain point). And having those few, crucial things under my belt, I can concentrate on the accessories and details.
One could say my new hero in style is Cator Sparks. He's gorgeous.
2. Accessories. I have a soft spot for scarfs, gloves and earrings. I do have a nice collection of gloves, they just could use some cleaning. (Most of them) being leather it's not just about throwing them to the washer and dryer (which I'd never use, anyway), which means I need to go buy some proper cleaning..stuff for my gloves. My earrings are usually just about hanging shit to my ear. Usually my right ear. At the moment I love my Eiffel-towers the most, as well as my razor-blades (that I got from a friend).
These are the ones I use the most (in addition to the Chanel diamond double C:s I got from my friends). I have plenty of earrings but rarely use them, because just think of the possibilities with these ones; endless.
I'd love to have a pair of red gloves. I mean look at this chap. How fab is he with those red bastards in his hands? (He's Yann Debelle de Montby, and this pic is from
The New English Dandy and he is gorgeous.)
As I mentioned earlier I have an obsession for scarfs. I rarely wear a tie or a dress shirt, but would actually like to start wearing those. I went through my tie-box(-es..) and made a selection of ties I'd like to start wearing. They're all very narrow (of course) and would work fine. And for some strange reason I've actually started to think that I don't need all those ties, just the ones I actually really like. That does make more sense.
Oh what a crappy picture, but you get the idea. My personal favorites are the two knitted ties on the right, green and black, that I usually wear as a bow tie.
3. Shoes. With shoes I'm thinking what I'm thinking about ties, less is more. I only have around 12 pairs of shoes and/or boots that I use. The rest are packed away and I don't even actually miss them. I have few pairs that I just love love love and few pairs that are just so comfy that I can't imagine my life without them.
My current favorite pair, from Berlin. Memories, memories.. sweet, sweet memories.
4. Jeans. I can't imagine I'd stop wearing jeans. Simply because I love to wear them. They're just perfect. And I have actually found few brands and models I really like.
Here, too, I've gone to the minimalist way of life and basically get on with only 15 pairs.
So, what do I need then?
- A good quality suit, black or grey (or both actually), that's fits me like there's no tomorrow.
- A pair of red leather gloves (don't really need them, just really really want them).
- Leather cleaning stuff.. (How come I don't have any idea what a right word could be for this..?)
- A perfect hair-cut
- A killer body (working on that one)
- A nice hat, black or dark grey
- Sun glasses, Ray-Ban, very, very classic
Not an impossible list. Not even that expensive. And everything on the list goes a long way.

This inspires me... I think I'll write a similar post soon.
